After a course of experiential workshops, self-education, interventions, political cafés and an attempt to create spaces where we can all co-exist and express ourselves freely, some internal issues of authoritarian behaviors and lack of reflexes of the assembly led us to a process of reviewing its mode of operation. In fact, the internal problems we had to deal with brought us face to face with our own responsibilities, among other things.
Bearing in mind that we have grown up and are confronted on a daily basis with hierarchically structured relationships, our need to deconstruct them and to evolve, individually and collectively, remains our political imperative. In our attempt to implement, among other things, the above, we have sought new tools and ways of managing situations in order to operate in a horizontal way.
Through all these processes, we felt that we had both evolved and found ourselves in a deadlock, which led us to the decision of ending Fousta Kapelo.
We continue our effort to create spaces in which we can all co-exist freely, aiming to recreate something new.
